Heikki Salonen, a finnish designer, got on ELLEuk March issue! You should have seen my eyes popping out of my head when I saw his designs on ELLEedits section (p96). I’m so excited for him!! He has been earlier on Vogue and now on ELLE. Glad to finally see finnish designers among the other labels. Besides, his women’s lines are amazing! How he uses only black, white and grey is genious. Not boring at all. Have to go to Helsinki10 and see if there’s any affordable pieces.

There is a sense of waiting in the air.
Over half a meter snow is getting on my nerves. It’s madness to drive around the town when the streets have shrinked to half of their real size and every turn makes me afraid that my car will spinn around. Oh yea, and the brakes! Even tho I’ve got proper tires designed for siperian weather conditions, it hasn’t been just one or two times when I’ve slided recklessly all over the place coz the brakes don’t hold on the icy road. So no wonder I’m waiting.
I’m waiting for spring to come. And what’s more, I want to get rid of all the stuffy winter clothes and change for colours. Can’t wait for the time when double-tights are not needed anymore.
And guess what, during the darkest period of winter, there can be only six hours of daylight in a day.

How’s your summer gonna look like?
People in Helsinki can totally pull it off. Coming from a small town it makes me relieved to know that even in one city of Finland somebody is passionate about dressing up and has the courage to express themselves through clothes. Ridiculous outfit can turn into a stylish one when known how to wear it. Like this gentleman here. How cool! I’m fully excited about my dearest friend visiting Finland soon so that we can point out interesting people from the growd of Helsinki city just like old days in England.
Just to highlight my frustration; I’ve been searching thoroughly my town to find a perfect outfit for a Friday night celebration (my summer job ends, how sad is that!) with a quite little money (to save up for Copenhagen) and there’s absolutely no prospective outfits. None. Nil. Zero. Getting a bit desperate.
